How to Get the Most Benefit Out of Proxxi Contact

Now that you have chosen the device that works for your organization and planned your rollout, you will likely be wanting to know how your organization can get the most out of Proxxi Contact.

Improving Your Organization’s Contact Tracing Procedure

As part of creating a safe workplace it is likely that you have thought about or created a contact tracing procedure plan. A wearable safety product like Proxxi Contact provides an opportunity to enhance any existing procedures you may have. With it you can greatly increase the speed and accuracy of your contact tracing in the event of an incident compared to manual methods. By using the data recorded by the wristbands, you can review the interactions on the Proxxi Contact Dashboard, including date, time, duration, and cumulative exposure. With this information you will be able to then focus on interviewing specific employees or reviewing security footage from specific times.

Reviewing contact data can also help highlight wristband wearers who come in frequent contact with others, even if they have not reported being sick. The contact data recorded by the wristbands can be accessed via the Dashboard, allowing the Dashboard Manager to identify people who are not maintaining social distance. This can help inform conversations about safety and expectations with team members who are prone to breaking social distancing rules.

Encouraging Behaviour Modification

With Proxxi Contact your team will experience social distancing notifications when they come within 6 feet of another wristband wearer. These notifications will help create awareness of contact among the wearers, and likely lead to accidental contact interactions. Wearers report that they are more confident asking others to step back after receiving a notification, whereas they were less sure in doing so prior to wearing Proxxi Contact.

As the social distancing notifications can be felt any time the wristband is worn, this can also help encourage employees to maintain distance even off the clock. It is very easy to become relaxed about safety measures if not actively on the job. If employees wear their wristbands to and from work, on lunch breaks, or during any other non-work time, they will still receive notifications if within range of another wristband.

Make Adjustments to Lower Risk of Exposure

There are likely places and times of day that lead to higher contact levels within your organization. These routine contacts between employees can lead to increased risk of exposure. To help reduce this risk, you can address these instances by adjusting the physical environment (such as creating a directional flow to entries and exits), or by setting behaviour expectations with your team.

The first step to addressing these risks is identifying them. From the Proxxi Contact Dashboard you can review contact interactions from each of your team members. You will be able to begin identifying trends, for instance increased contact interactions in the mornings and end of the day, or during lunch time. Although Proxxi Contact does not include a GPS, the timestamp of interactions can help you pinpoint the location of said interactions, such as the break room or the building’s entryway.

From there you will be able to make the necessary changes to your existing workflows and routines to help reduce contact between people, thus lowering the risk of exposure. This data can also be used to identify if two employees’ workstations are too close to each other, allowing you to move them to a safer distance.
